A Walk Through the Rainforest

OK, so it's hot, dry and generally boring weather now in Oklahoma, and I think it's time for a walk through the Rainforest. The rainforest is so amazing, for its diversity of plantlife, but it's really amazing both from the big picture, and for the small things that you have to stop and look carefully to see. So, I've brought you some of each.

  1. Marvellous pictures.
Rainforest is a paradigm of biodiversity; I love the lushness of the selva -- by far one of my favourite habitats together with the oceans.
Tragically, it's being devoured by human greed at a breakneck pace --a large chunk of the Rainforest disappears every second.

  3. Unfortunately, I didn't get to capture (photographically, of course) any of the tree frogs. We could hear them, and I did get a glimpse of them a couple of times, but the little suckers did not want to be photographed on those days.
And Costa Rica is a bit unique, in that they really do care about their Rainforest, and are very vigilant about it. They are very much into ecotourism, and you can tell.
In any event, I can't wait to go back.
