Travelogue, Part one

What do you photograph when you travel? Well, I do take the occasional picture of the people involved, as is evident from the second photo, but mostly I take pictures of 'the scenery,' much to the dismay of my wife, who often gets relegated to taking the 'people pictures.' I'll admit it. I am more mentally equipped to take pictures of what is surrounding us. Forgive me, but I'm just not that good at those intimate shots. These were taken in one of our scenic trips into the Yukon Territory of Canada, and as we are going to go back to Canada in September, I thought that I'd share these with you.

  1. As always I am jealous of both your skill with the camera and your globe-trotting. Love the first shot, what a view, I can only imagine the beauty that couldn't be captured by the shot.

I feel much the same as you do when it comes to taking pictures, I'm not much for shots with people in them. Give me some real-life scenery, a moment in time, I'm not really a fan of posed photography.

  3. Yes, Libby, that one was too irresistable. It is our granddaughter with a husky puppy, near Carcross, in the Yukon.

  5. What magnificent scenery! Although I'm not very keen on cold places, I love landscapes. A sight for sore eyes.

  6. As always, wonderful pictures! The first one nearly took my breath away. I can feel why you prefer to take pictures of nature, you have a real talent and always capture the essence of the place.
