I was looking through some of our India pictures, and I was struck by an incredible sense of variety in the day-to-day events unfolding around us. From the people, the architecture, and the daily ebb and flow of life in general. Enjoy!

  1. Today it's probably hard to find more picturesque country than India -- to a large extent modernisation and globalisation blurred cultural identities.
I especially love the last picture, it looks like a magic passage from Arabian nights.

  3. Thank you both for stopping by. And I agree with you, Stella, and I think that is why the two pictures from the textile/rug manufacturing center in Jaipur struck me so.
And the last photo is from the hall of mirrors in the Jaipur palace - it's incredible that someone actually lived there!

  4. India is actually where I was born, and spent most of my growing up years (until age 14), so, yes, there is so much more there than words can say.
