New Year's Vote, Part Six
Well, this time it's perhaps a bit easier, though I don't know. We're going to be voting for the best three from this portion of our trip to the Canadian Rockies. The first photo is from Waterton Lake in Alberta. The next two are from an excursion down to Glacier National Park in Montana. The next two are from Canada again, with the solar flare over the water at Many Glacier Lodge, looking out toward the lake, and the next one is from Banff. The second to last photo shows the view available on the Canadian Pacific Railway, as it rumbles through the mountainous terrain. And the last one is the always photogenic view of Moraine lake, in the morning air.

New Year's Vote, Part Five
All right, then. It's back to work. And this time we're going back to Alaska and the Yukon, with a particularly difficult set of choices (at least for me). Now, in this set, taken with my other camera, we have a series of scenic shots, some of which are quite similar, and I'm asking you the same question - to rate your favorite three pictures, and I'll tell you, I struggled with these ones.

Cape Cod and Newport
OK, it's time for a little break. This is a collection of vacation shots we took at a long weekend in Cape Cod (at a medical fiction writers' course). In our time off we explored Cape Cod, and later we went to Newport, Rhode Island, and while there toured one of the Vanderbilt mansions (The Breakers), which was absolutely astonishing - to think that some people actually lived like that. Of note is that, in the second to last photo, we have the "humble" guard's quarters visible in the foreground, with the mansion itself in the background.

New Year's Vote, Part Four - or another India
All right, now that you're used to this quiz, I'm going to really turn up the difficulty a notch, and ask you the same question - to pick your own favorite three from among these. All these are clearly from India, and some are scenic, some architectural, but mostly they are of the people, which might just make things more difficult.
