Well, we got back on our tour and headed north again toward Jasper. On the way, of course, we passed by magnificent mountain scenery, and the mighty (sort of) Athabasca River, and the Athabasca Canyon, before settling in our cozy cabin on the shores of the same Athabasca River. Where we could watch the fearless upon their rafts, watch for elk (really only visible in the dim light of morning and evening). It was a nice time to kick back and relax.
Wow!! Lovely pictures yet again. I hope the rafts don't go through the channel sort of thing you have captured in the second picture. Looks very narrow and the flow seems fast.
ReplyDeleteThe gorge is really gorgeous ;) I can hear the gurgling water!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics as always!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm certainly glad that you enjoyed them. I'm not certain if I'll be able to post more before we take another trip next weekend (to Cape Cod - a medical fiction writer's workshop). So, if the postings get a bit thin, you'll know why.
ReplyDeletePicture #5 is the place i would like to be :)
